Comprehensive Line of LED Fixtures Deliver up to 95% Energy Efficiency
AUSTIN, Texas, May 11, 2010 - Ringdale, a leader in networking, carbon emission and energy-reducing
technologies since 1977, will showcase its ActiveLED(TM) line of indoor and
outdoor commercial and industrial LED fixtures at LIGHTFAIR International
2010 May 12-14, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #2421 in the
Building Integration Pavilion.
ActiveLED Lighting includes a wide variety of fixtures for streets,
parking structures, building exteriors, warehouses, offices, retail spaces,
restaurants and architectural accents. The fixtures deliver better
illumination and 50-95% less energy usage than any conventional lighting
source. All of the fixtures are designed and manufactured exclusively by
Ringdale in its facility in Georgetown, Texas.
Incorporating its own patented solid-state lighting control and thermal
management technology with the best LED element available, Ringdale developed
the ActiveLED line to meet the requirements of enterprise customers who are
focused on replacing their older, inefficient lighting sources or outfitting
new construction projects with energy efficient, longer-lasting LED-based
fixtures. Easy-to-install and use, ActiveLED fixtures have integrated power
supplies that recognize the existing voltage and adjust accordingly.
For applications with intermittent use such as parking structures,
conference rooms and stairwells, ActiveLED fixtures are integrated with
Ringdale's Light Space Manager(TM) intelligent control combining dimming,
motion sensor and occupancy zone control capabilities that increase a
building's energy efficiency by an additional 10-25% on top of the ActiveLED
Lighting fixtures' savings. Ringdale will demonstrate Light Space Manager at
LIGHTFAIR.
LED lighting, unlike older technologies such as incandescent, fluorescent
and high pressure sodium, produces an enhanced light that has been proven to
improve visibility and provide greater color uniformity in both exterior and
interior applications. Additionally, LED lighting is safer and more
environmentally sustainable over conventional lighting sources since
ActiveLED fixtures and LEDs do not contain mercury or extremely hazardous
materials as found in HID and fluorescent lamps.
"Since our introduction into the LED lighting marketplace more than two
years ago, we have experienced a high level of demand for our ActiveLED
lighting products," said Klaus Bollmann, CEO, Ringdale Inc. "Our advanced
approach to fixture design coupled with our unique care and feeding of LEDs
provides unrivaled competitive advantages by enabling our lights to run
cooler, last longer and depreciate significantly less over time, which is
also why we provide the best warranty in the industry."
Customers are already realizing the superior performance and energy
efficiencies of using ActiveLED Lighting. The Texas Facilities Commission, in
response to the Governor's mandate to cut costs, retrofitted over 220 parking
lot and building exterior lights at the Texas Commission for Environmental
Quality (TCEQ) complex in Austin. The University of North Texas retrofitted
an entire parking garage at its Fort Worth campus with ActiveLED Parking
Garage Lights. A new LaQuinta in Cedar Park, Texas, is using ActiveLED
Solar-assisted Parking Lot Lighting. Big R, a major convenience store chain
serving Colorado, replaced all of its interior lighting with ActiveLED High
Bay Lights, and realized a 90% savings in energy in the first month.
ActiveLED Lighting fixtures are backed by a ten-year warranty on LED
elements and five-year warranty on materials and workmanship. For more
