RISI Announces Ray Barbee as SVP/GM Wood Products, Timber and Biomass

BOSTON, July 12, 2010 - RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products
industry, today announced the hiring of Ray Barbee as Senior Vice President
and General Manager of its Wood Products, Timber and Biomass business areas.
Ray comes to RISI from Roseburg Forest Products where he was Vice President
of Sales and Marketing across their lumber, plywood, OSB, engineered wood
products and specialty products businesses. Ray's career thus far spans three
decades and multiple executive roles from production to sales working for
companies such as Roseburg, Louisiana-Pacific and Boise Cascade. A veteran of
the industry, he has been involved in many facets of today's modern forestry
businesses from strategic planning, M&A and distribution to production,
supply-chain management and forecasting. Ray has a degree in Political
Science from UNC Chapel Hill and a MBA in Finance & Marketing from USC
Columbia. Ray has also completed a Pulp & Paper course from the Pulp & Paper
Research Institute of Canada (Paprican).
