MUMBAI, India, February 17, 2010 - Global learning solutions leader, Tata Interactive Systems, announces the
rollout of an innovative game-based orientation program for telecom major,
MTS, designed to make a positive first impression on its employees.

Tata Interactive Systems' (TIS) game-based orientation was recently
incorporated by MTS as part of their new-hire induction programs. Originally,
MTS conducted the orientation as instructor-led, classroom trainings. The
program also required the new-hires and senior management to travel to
training venues, thereby increasing the time taken off for training.

TIS was invited on board with the aim of providing an innovative solution
to increase the employees' orientation experience, and create an impactful
first impression of the company. TIS offered MTS its gamut of game-based
orientation programs that could be accessed at any location, reducing the
travel time; provide an immersive environment to learn about the company; and
allow the employees to feel part of an innovative organization.

Chandra Shekhar Ghildiyal, Head - Game-based Learning at TIS explains,
"Our orientation games are generally designed around an adventure or quest
that takes the players through a series of episodes to teach them about the
company. The players learn through puzzles, activities etc., and collect
information 'items' which help them discover more as they move on."

It was critical for MTS to make a positive first impression on new
employees, and it was envisaged that the experience of TIS' game-based
orientation would reinforce the fact that they have joined a progressive and
world-class organization.

Elaborating on the solution, Chandra Shekhar added, "Our proprietary game
engine helps us track the learner's progress at every stage. Most of the
information received by the learners is cross-linked and they must interpret
it or use it in conjunction with other information in order to progress. This
loop of 'Acquisition>Assimilation>Application' of information strengthens the
learning and ensures that the player is involved at all times."
