Sony Ericsson Celebrates its Xperia(TM) Mini Phones With Facebook Competition and Avatar Maker

LONDON, December 2, 2010 - Sony Ericsson is giving fans the chance to win a new handset through Mini
Magic, a competition located on its global Facebook page that was launched
last week to celebrate the Xperia(TM) X10 mini being awarded European Mobile
Phone of the Year 2010 - 2011. For those who don't plan to enter the contest
but want to join in with the Magic fun they can create a mini Facebook avatar
(apps.facebook.com/semc_mothership/FBML/MiniMagic) of themselves and
their friends, which can be tagged and used as profile pictures.

To enter the Facebook contest (
apps.facebook.com/mini_magic/gallery) and be in with a chance of
winning an Xperia(TM) X10 mini or X10 mini pro, all people need to do is
upload a creative, cute or crazy photograph of something miniature to the
Mini Magic application. Facebook users around the world can then vote for
their favourite photos in the gallery until the competition ends on January
17, 2011. After an entrant has uploaded their photo and it has been approved
they can share it on Facebook and Twitter to encourage their friends and
followers to vote.

The twenty images with the most votes will then go forward to the final
for Sony Ericsson to choose five winners and five runners-up. The prize for
each of the five winners is an Xperia(TM) X10 mini pro and the runners-up
will receive an Xperia(TM) X10 mini.

Anybody with a Facebook account can create a miniature version of
themselves or make a tiny collection of their friends with the Mini Magic
avatar maker (apps.facebook.com/mini_magic/mini_makeover). Users can
choose from a range of clothing items, hairstyles and accessories, which
makes the mini makeover pictures an ideal way for users to make their social
media profiles distinctive; hundreds of variations are possible. The mini
avatar pictures can be saved, posted and tagged and users can also share
their Mini Magic creations with all of the social networking friends.
