2010election Twitter Launched to Give Voice to British Business Throughout General Election

CAMBRIDGE, England, December 28 - Omobono, an award-winning UK digital communications services agency, is
launching @2010election, a Twitter feed intended to serve as a channel for
British businesses to comment on the campaign policies and platforms of the
main UK political parties throughout the 2010 General Election.

Following an economically turbulent term, the 2010 Election is likely to
be one of the most important elections in recent times. Small and medium
sized businesses are the engine of the economy. If the next government
doesn't create an environment where they can innovate, take risks and create
jobs the impact on the fragile economy will be stark. Despite being the
biggest contributors to the public purse, businesses get no vote and no
direct say over the politicians who will decide their future. The
@2010election Twitter feed is the venue where they will have their say.

Francesca Brosan, Chairman of Omobono and member of the CBI Committee in
the East of England, says, "Businesses large and small are disenfranchised
from the political process. Twitter has emerged as the channel that
politicians take notice of."

Adds Ben Dansie, CEO of Omobono, "We intend to use Twitter to tell them,
loud and clear, what businesses want. We encourage businesses across the
country to join the conversation and voice their opinions on policies that
concern them."

The @2010election feed will host discussions, videos and links, as
contributed by its active followers, in an effort to provide a hub for
election updates and the effect candidate parties may have on businesses.

Businesses that want to join should visit twitter.com/2010election
or email Kayley Brooks, Kayley@omobono.co.uk.
