Arab Health 2010: Ansell Showcases Latest Innovations in Hand Protection Solutions Dedicated to Healthcare Professionals

Ansell Healthcare, a global leader in barrier protective solutions, is the developer of the Gammex(R) medical gloves, a series acclaimed by surgeons worldwide for its exceptional combination of high protection and comfort levels. Present for the third consecutive year Ansell will be demonstrating its latest innovations at Arab Health (www.arabhealthonline.com/), Middle East’s leading healthcare exhibition, from 25th to 28th January 2010 (Booth XC35).

At the Ansell booth, visitors will discover the Gammex(R) range in both latex and synthetic materials. The flagship of Ansell’s surgical glove offering has been embraced by healthcare workers the world over for its combination of superior protection, comfort and great sensitivity. Gammex(R) PF is considered to be one of the safest surgical gloves on the market, with ‘undetectable’ allergen levels, according to FITkit(R) tests.

The Gammex(R) range recently welcomed a number of synthetic solutions, the Gammex(R)PF IsoDerm(R) and the Gammex(R) PF IsoDerm(R) Sensitive, both latex-free polyisoprene gloves for surgeons with a type I latex allergy and/or who treat sensitised patients. They complete the Gammex(R) PF DermaPrene(R), a powder free, latex free, and accelerator free glove providing an ideal solution to avoiding Type I and minimising Type IV allergies and that has become surgeons’ first choice in synthetic gloves throughout Europe.

On top of powder free solutions Ansell will demonstrate its innovative HydraSoft(R) technology which has been designed to retain moisture and rehydrate the skin, despite continual glove wearing and frequent contact with astringent hand cleansers and disinfectants. The HydraSoft (R) technology has been incorporated into Gammex(R) PF HydraSoft(R) and Gammex(R) PF Underglove.

Arab Health will also be the opportunity for Ansell to introduce its international educational programme, AnsellCares(R). The AnsellCares(R) on-line and off-line continuing education platform shares know-how with healthcare communities around the world.
