Percentage of Revenues From MD Consult Subscriptions Sold in Nov.-Dec. to go to Medical Relief Organization Which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999

PHILADELPHIA, November 9, 2010 - Elsevier, (www.elsevier.com/wps/find/homepage.cws_home)
the world-leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information
products and services, announced today that it will contribute to Doctors
Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) (
www.doctorswithoutborders.org/) through 'The Great Giveback'
(info.mdconsult.com/thegreatgiveback/) campaign, providing medical
assistance and support to numerous people around the world.

Elsevier will donate 10 percent of its revenue to MSF for all
subscriptions to MD Consult, (
www.mdconsult.com/php/225893163-2/homepage) Elsevier's premier
electronic clinical reference tool, purchased between Nov. 15 and Dec. 31,
2010
. In 2009, a similar campaign brought in more than 350 subscriptions
worth over $120,000.

"MSF is grateful to Elsevier for supporting our relief efforts
for a second year in a row," said Jennifer Tierney, Director of Development,
MSF-USA. "With the generosity of Elsevier and the people who purchase MD
Consult subscriptions during this campaign, MSF will be able to provide
assistance to people in war-torn countries like the Democratic Republic of
Congo
, or in the wake of natural disasters such as the recent earthquake in
Haiti and the floods in Pakistan."

Elsevier is committed to advancing global healthcare through
timely, accurate clinical knowledge and data. MSF aid workers operate
programs in more than 60 countries, from Cambodia, Guatemala and Armenia, to
Burundi, Brazil and Bosnia. Elsevier, in turn, has 7,000 employees working in
more than 70 offices worldwide and a track record of partnership with global
science and health communities in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South
America
, the Middle East and the U.S.

"The outcome from last year's campaign was so successful that
Elsevier wanted to continue to help enhance care and improve outcomes for
patients who need it," said Randy Charles, Managing Director, Global Clinical
Reference, Elsevier. "By supporting MSF again through 'The Great Giveback,'
Elsevier is working towards fulfilling its global healthcare mission of
building insights and breaking boundaries while making a positive impact to
the healthcare community. We hope this campaign will continue to be
successful this year."
