Gennum Expands Support for Telecom, Datacom and Video Broadcast Customers in Italy and for Select OEM Customers

BURLINGTON, Canada, April 5, 2010 - Gennum Corporation (TSX:GND) today announced an agreement with UR Holding
S.p.A. (UR Holding) to represent Gennum's growing product portfolio and
provide support to customers in Italy and for selected OEM accounts. As a
focused demand creation company and stocking representative UR Holding is one
of the leading European sales organizations for high technology electronic
components and sub-assemblies for embedded system solutions.

This relationship addresses Gennum's strategy to penetrate new markets
including tier one telecommunications and data communications OEMs with its
industry-leading signal integrity components. UR Holding adds technology
know-how, embedded systems expertise and resources that will help Gennum's
customers to define, design and manufacture next generation communication
systems equipment and embedded system applications.
