PORTO, Portugal - As of today, 23 September 2009, the site will be online www.onedotonelife.org, an innovative project on the Internet which combines social solidarity and digital art.

For just 1 euro, which corresponds to the purchase of a “color Dot” in this art project, will be to save the life of a child!

Adelino Sousa, owner of Superpremio Ltd., is the mentor of the project OneDotOneLife which has two objectives.

Creation of the Greater Work of Collaborative Digital Art

This work will be created with the input from more than 2 million participants around the world, through customization of the more than 2 million points within it.

Upon completion of the work (ie, after all the 2 million dots have its own owner) an abstract work will be formed, the greatest work of Collaborative Digital Art.

The participant can assign a part of his life to each Dot, using a photo for this purpose. This Dot assumes the dominant color of the photo which can be for the participant or from a relative, a friend, a landscape, a son, an important moment in his life….

It is therefore a universal work and the first with such a size.

In order to perpetuate it, it will be available indefinitely for anyone from anywhere around the world to see.

Save the lives of more than 2 million children

For each Dot sold, the Superpremio Ltd. will donate to UNICEF one vaccine against measles.

In addition to supporting the fight against measles, this project will also support, with a budget that will be around 300.000USD, a single project, the EmbraceGlobal (www.embraceglobal.org).

“Embrace is a United States based nonprofit organization that aims to help the millions of vulnerable babies born every year in developing countries through a low cost infant warmer. Unlike traditional incubators that cost up to $20,000, the Embrace infant warmer can cost 1% of this. The device requires no electricity, has no moving parts, is portable and is safe and intuitive to use. We are thankful to be able to partner with and participate in One Dot, One Life.”

–Linus Liang, Co-Founder & President of Products EmbraceGlobal

“With just 1 euro you can help us achieve this goal. Together we will create the greatest work of collaborative digital art and save the lives of millions of children! There is nothing you can buy for 1 euro that has so much impact.” Adelino Sousa
