Thai Lifestyle Industry Showcases Asia's Most Aesthetic Design Fairs

BANGKOK, April 9, 2010 - The Department of Export Promotion, in cooperation with Lifestyle
Product Federation, is scheduled to present the 29th Bangkok International
Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH) during 20-25
April 2010 at the heart of Asia's design hub.

BIG+BIH are internationally honored as the industry's most prominent
design fairs. This year, the theme of the fairs is 'Soul and Style of the
Orient' which will stage the contemporary impressions of Eastern characters,
delicate craftsmanship, exotic materials, and lasting quality that meets
international standards and is environmentally friendly. The fairs will
feature a vast array of products including gifts, premiums, home decorative,
artificial flowers and plants, handicrafts, household items, spa products,
home textiles, toys & games, stationery, and other design objects.

The fairs are also known for its inspiring design exhibitions which, in
this April's event, will display award winning designs from Home Textile
Butterfly Award, Gift & Home Decorative Design Award 2010, and Design
Excellence Award (DEmark). Design Forum is another major attraction at the
fairs as it displays hand-picked exhibitor products that best depict the
latest design trends as forecasted by Nelly Rodi.

During the six day event, almost 100,000 international and local buyers
are expected to visit the fairs. There will be free shuttle bus service
between the airport, official hotels and the fairground. Visitors entering
Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International airport are entitled to a list
of exclusive benefits which can be picked up from BIG+BIH counter at Fast
Track immigration line.

BIG+BIH April 2010 will be held at the Bangkok International Trade and
Exhibition Center (BITEC) which is situated in a short driving distance from
Suvarnabhumi airport. Traders are welcome to the event for business
negotiations during 20-23 April between 10am and 6pm. The event is open to
general public on 24-25 April between 10am and 9pm. Admission is free. Trade
