LONDON - Ticketmaster UK is Working With Nordoff-Robbins and Sparks

Ticketmaster UK Ltd, a Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:TKTM) company, is pleased to announce the launching of two charity partnerships with Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and children’s charity Sparks.

Ticketmaster has been working with Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for many years now and have recently begun working the children’s charity Sparks. Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy promotes health, well-being and social inclusion through the skilled use of music with individuals, groups and communities who are challenged by disability, illness or injustice. Sparks is the children’s medical research charity, whose sole remit is to fund research across the whole spectrum of paediatric medicine, and their goal is for all babies to be born healthy and stay healthy.

Ticketmaster has been a long-term supporter of Nordoff-Robbins and has recently increased its activity to help raise funds for the charity’s work. The Nordoff-Robbins tartan clef logo is embedded on the Ticketmaster Scotland website enabling visitors the opportunity to donate directly and helps raise the charity’s profile in Scotland. For all events in the Glasgow area customers are presented with the option to make a donation to the charity, should they wish, before finalising their transaction. Not associated with any particular artist or event, this initiative has been offered for all events in the Glasgow area, since November ‘08 and in four months the generosity of our customers has raised over GBP4,000.

Elsewhere in the UK Ticketmaster is working together with both Nordoff-Robbins and Sparks to raise funds through a number of methods, including online ticket auctions, Platinum Tickets and a new agreement with Redeem plc to recycle mobile phones. Ticketmaster’s clients have the opportunity to help raise funds for these two important causes by offering event tickets for auction or by using the Platinum programme of variable pricing, with the extra revenue generated on each ticket being donated to the charities.

Ticketmaster is also now working with Redeem to give our customers the opportunity to recycle unwanted mobile phones in exchange for a Ticketmaster gift card. This gift card can be used as full or part payment to purchase tickets for all concerts and other events sold via Ticketmaster. For every mobile phone recycled and a Ticketmaster Gift Card claimed, Ticketmaster will donate GBP1 to charity, with the amount split equally between Nordoff-Robbins and Sparks. Customers also have the option to donate the full value of their phone to be shared between the charities.

Chris Edmonds, Managing Director of Ticketmaster UK, said: “We are really pleased to be working with two such important charities here in the UK. We are looking to increase awareness of what they do as well as assist in raising funds that will help them continue the invaluable work they undertake all over the UK.”

David Munns, Chairman, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Fundraising Committee, said: “Ticketmaster has been a strong supporter Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for many years. This new set of initiatives is testament to their ongoing support for the amazing and vital work that N-RMT does.”

Sir Trevor Brooking, Sparks Vice-president and Trustee, said: “Ticketmaster’s charity partnership with Sparks is a natural fit. You sell the tickets to the type of events so many of our celebrity Ambassadors star in. And we’ve teamed up to try and score the greatest goal possible…helping ALL babies and children to be born healthy and grow up healthy. Thank you, Ticketmaster.”

Jamie Rae, Chief Executive of Redeem plc, said: “This new partnership with Ticketmaster is very exciting for us as a company, but also offers a brand new way for their customers to enjoy events and concerts across the UK. By recycling mobile phones with Ticketmaster they are also helping two very worthwhile charities and preventing potentially toxic waste going to landfill. We look forward to offering this recycling service with Ticketmaster across the UK.”
