The drive by Turkey's Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources to meet
Turkey's goals for energy self-sufficiency by 2023 has been steadily gaining
pace. The Turkish oil and gas industry has been discussing this issue with
their foreign counterparts at events such as Oil & Gas Expansion Turkey, a
summit which will be held in Ankara from 20-23 September. Lending its
partnership to the event is the Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists
(TAPG), and industry heavy-weights like Mehmet Uysal, President & CEO of
Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi (TPAO), Turkey's national oil and gas
company, will be sharing their strategies and plans to ensure the goal of
self-sufficiency is achieved.

Mr. Uysal will be highlighting TPAO's exploration activities and new
expansions during his keynote address. Other distinguished speakers include
ministerial representatives driving Turkey's oil and gas initiatives and
leading industry stakeholders, including BOTAS, International Energy Agency,
IGDAS, International Finance Corporation and Deloitte.
