RockTron Can Make Boris's Low Carbon London a Reality!

LONDON, April 14, 2010 - While others have scoffed at Boris Johnson's promise to cut
carbon emissions by 44% in all London developments by 2013, a company called
RockTron has just what Boris is looking for to make his low carbon London
dream come true.

New construction currently accounts for 71% of London's CO2
emissions. Boris's 'London Plan' aims to encourage industry to take
sustainable and low carbon measures in a bid to achieve its London's
greenhouse goals. However, given that every tonne of cement manufactured
yields 0.82 tonnes of CO2, Boris' critics have good reason to be sceptical.
Indeed, cement production accounts for 5% of the UK's man-made CO2.
Consequently, from Boris' perspective, RockTron's breakthrough could not have
come at a better time. RockTron estimates that for every 500,000 tonnes of
concrete made with RockTron eco-minerals as a substitute for Ordinary
Portland Cement (CEMI), up to 450,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions could be
prevented.

"RockTron's breakthrough can help London obtain this ambitious
goal. The Government just needs to work with us and understand that we can
help deliver their low carbon construction goals."

Simon Smith, CEO of RockTron.

RockTron is an award-winning British company that has become a
recognised world leader in mineral recycling. Their technological
breakthrough means that, for the first time 100% of both fresh AND stockpiled
coal-fired power station waste (fly ash) can be transformed into valuable,
eco-minerals for use in plastic, rubber and concrete manufacturing. By
substituting RockTron's eco-minerals in concrete, Boris can help cut CO2
emissions by up to 50%, while plastics and rubber industries could see
reductions as high as 80% ! Unlike most other so called 'green' products,
RockTron's eco-minerals not only offer comparable or superior performance,
they also cost less: thereby cutting the costs of development, increasing
margins and protecting companies' bottom line.

While others may be quick to point out that fly ash derived
products already exist, Boris can be reassured that RockTron's cement and
concrete substitute is not merely raw fly ash, but rather a new product never
before available. Unlike fly ash, RockTron's products can be used at higher
substitution levels, are of consistent quality, lighter in colour and
available all year round.

RockTron's new recycling plant is located near Widnes in
Cheshire and is designed to recycle up to 800,000 tonnes of fly ash per
annum. A London South Bank University report has found Boris's 'London Plan'
successful so far; the carbon savings secured from developments has increased
from an average of 29% in 2006 to 34% by mid 2009.

Boris Johnson claims:

"This report underscores that we are on the right track with a
range of energy busting measures being pursued across the capital's new
developments, but we can go further." (Source: www.london.gov.uk)

RockTron is confident it can help London go even further. As
the importance of carbon saving in new developments increases, the scale of
RockTron's offering will grow exponentially. Over and above the environmental
targets Boris has set, manufacturers need to cut their supply chain costs
alongside large-scale CO2 emissions. This is an opportunity that neither our
Mayor nor London itself can afford to miss! www.rktron.com
